I had a wonderful Japanese girl friend in college who said: "one of the most important things anyone ever did for her was to show her how to throw a ball. Such a clear and profound statement. Neanderthal were ambush hunters and killed close. Homo Sapian used throwing sticks. The overhand throw may have evolved to accommodate the throwing spear. One can see how evolution would love a good overhand throwing stick arm-lol.l
