Ted, the point is that California isn't wealthy because of liberalism. California is liberal because of wealth. Of course its in part due to liberalism. Hi tech doesn't do well in wingerland. Even the southern hi tech centers.....Austin and the Raleigh are liberal islands surrounded by wingers. Why do you screw with you head and make believe that reality is something other than reality? Detroit and Chicago have been controlled by liberals for decades. How come they aren't "shining examples of liberalism" like California supposedly is? Wrong. Detroit and Chicago were controlled by Dems. Dem /= liberalism. I was a liberal long before I joined the Dem party. In fact, there are Dems who are centrists and some Dems who are wingers. P.S. - By the way, nice try injecting race into the discussion. You almost made me not get my point across. Maybe you fear the truth. I can't help it if you make racist comments pretending they are something else.
