So there are no examples of anything "catching up and truly imploding" a generation or two after that. Unless you make it up. You are missing the big picture. It could happen if just the right set of circumstances happen. Therefore, under the one percent doctrine, you must treat it as inevitable and bend the resources of the entire nation to address it as such... Unless, of course, it involves anything the Left is interested in. Then you have to be 200% certain and it can't cost anything...
