Canaccord Smartphone sales rankings in the US for Sept

Easy come easy go. The big price cuts in September didn't help Nokia's fortunes in the US. It's a troubling pattern to see Lumia's star shine brightly for such a short period of time with every "hero" phone launch. You'd think that Windows Phone's impressive satisfaction ratings would translate to word-of-mouth sales and building momentum, but that doesn't seem to happen. The die hards come out for the launch, but then sales fizzle.

From august: Welcome Nokia back to the charts. The Lumia 1020 – known for its spectacular 41MP camera – caught the eye of AT&T customers in its debut month.
