"You are trying to have the catholic Church(a denomination) take credit for what the Holy Spirit did." It may sound that way to you but no I'm not taking away any glory from God (Holy Spirit) and somehow giving it to his creation. The Church (all the believers with their leaders) is a creation of God ---"the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth." Why is it so easy for you to understand that the Old Testament Hebrew religion was a creation of God and had a special certain grace associated with it but when it comes to Jesus' Church that He created---the Holy Christian Church---you suddenly get super spiritual and can't understand that Jesus chose a human leadership and created a visible earthly Church that would live for eternity. All the glory belongs to God the Father and Jesus the son and the Holy Spirit but the facts about the Church is the Scriptures remain.
