+9% AH Jana Partners buys up major stake in Outerwall Jana Partners buys up major stake in owner of Coinstar and Redbox, may push for sale By The Associated Press \| Associated Press – 32 minutes ago Jana Partners LLC disclosed Friday that it has bought up a major stake in the company formerly known as Coinstar and could push for a sale of the business. The activist hedge fund said in a regulatory filing that it holds nearly 3.8 million shares in Outerwall Inc. That represents a 13.5 percent stake in the company and makes it Outerwall's largest shareholder.
