>> Ted, I don't approve of what the Republicans are doing. It's all a political stunt, and ObamaCare isn't going to go away that easily.

Ten, think about this for a minute. The law was not legitimately enacted. The "gut-and-amend" procedure that was used clearly was intended to defeat the spirit of the Origination Clause. They changed the Senate rules to get it through. They paid bribes to numerous senators. It was as close to criminal as one can imagine. This bill will be litigate for a decade or more. And a majority of Americans do not want the legislation.

Yet, you expect the House to sit back and take it? The House has leverage now and they damned well need to use it.

It is the prerogative of the House to fund or not fund the legislation. Intransigent Democrats have forced their hand.

I think these House Republicans are absolute heroes. They are saying, "to hell with the politics, we're going to do what we have to do." And the two House Dems who voted with them are as well.

They recognize that it is now or never. Just as with Medicare, once you get all these people getting their handouts, it will take the country down before you can fix it. Far better to take the political pain now.
