QO, what does "Medically Underwritten" mean? I'm 53 and am going to retire in a couple years when my last kid gets out of college. So I'm starting to learn about all these things. Tell you what I've found so far...my company subsidizes my families medical plan substantially. I had no idea it was that much. With Obamacare coming, they have started to pass more and more of the costs to the employees, which shows where Obama's getting the money to fund this thing. Anyway, when I look at BC/BC's website, I start to get a picture of what my costs might be in retirement and it will triple what I pay now. So what is "Medically Underwritten" and why would one need or want that?
