Hi Bob,
First:Thanks!! Both for the quality of info you posted on MF and for partaking in our meandering conversation over here.I thought your listing of institutional holdings was spectacular!!IAfter you mentioned it , I didn't pay attention to the percent.Instead I totaled them up and they came to 12.1 million shares, then management holds about 20% or 3 million That makes about 15 million, and lets say there's a 10% or 1.5 million margin for error. So say thats 13.5 to 15 million shares. The last 10Q was based on 14.5 million shares and the August shorts have been cited at 1.7 million for a total of 16.2 million shares. It must be beginning to get uncomfortable for the shorties at this time and I wonder how many were buying on Thursday?
I'm pretty long on RAIN myself, relatively speaking and would prefer not to be tempted to buy more if it drops below 24.On the other hand if I do cash in a few hundred of my INTC warrants I'll need to do something with the money.
I visited Gurnee and Shaumberg alot this summer and by August I think Gurnee was performing better relative to their sizes, particularly in regards to retail.I particularly liked going midweek around 3PM when business is slowest.I brought everybody from little children to little old ladies with me and they all loved it.It would really surprise me if we don't exceed expectations this Q (adjusted for the offering).I think the only way it drops below 26 before then is if the Fed tightens (or some unforseen horrendously bad news). But if it does I'll be waiting with my wallet open.I'll bet there's a lot of those fund managers thinking something similar.
Anyway,as I plan on holding RAIN for years either way the price goes short-term is OK with me as long as the story is there.I got time, lots of time.
By the way, could you post those institutional holdings here or, with your permission,I will this week-end.(I'm not a speed typist).
I also appreciated hearing about the second offering so promptly.
Gracias, Dennis
