I read the article again and don't see that he is discussing amnesty in it.

It might be worth considering that Representative Ryan is posing for the media and that the media will carry the President's water regardless of facts.

Obama has stated repeatedly that he will not negotiate with Republicans until they capitulate and have surrendered all leverage to negotiate with. He said as much again yesterday.

If the public sees that Republicans are trying to save the country from the ravages of ObamaCare then they may placate the base who would like to see Obama, Holder, Reid, Pelosi and the whole lot of them Impeached and removed from office. Too many recent Republican elections have been centered on liberals and mug-wumps instead of Libertarian or Conservative ideals.

If this situation is to be resolved for the benefit of the nation rather than having Republicans capitulate to democrats' terroristic threats it will take an effort for every national Republican politician to communicate in their own way that they are trying to find a middle ground.

Ryan is toast as far as being elected President. Representative Ryan probably knows it. It is time for him to regencies that the good of the nation demands him to stay in the House and perform well in the Budget Committee.
