Snow appeared on the tops of the mountains overlooking the city last week. Some of it melted when we unexpectedly and unforecasted broke the record for highest daily maximum for the date on Sunday, but there's enough that it still looks pretty on the sunny days like this. Yesterday I put away the sandals, picked the last of the basil, and ate the last nectarine and peach of the season. And I am starting to think about turning on the heat. Time to get the garlic planted too. LC
