I guess I should modify my statement to read: "What you believe to be true depends on which network news channel you watch, and what you call your common sense tends to derive from that."

My oldest and truest friend told me that I watch too much Fox News. I said, "Could be, but you watch too much MSNBC."

So you are right. Read the background material yourself and draw your own conclusions. Every chance I get to I say "Do your own thinking! Do your own thinking! Do your own thinking! Do your own thinking! Do your own thinking! Your principles will hold you up!"

Of course, this only works if you have principles.
