Please explain NUMISMATIC coin leverage. My preference for BULLION coins is based on low premium over POG and liquidity for transactions (man on the street can easily identify the coin and verify the going price). I would say the NUMISMATIC gold coins have a place in a LONG TERM portfolio geared towards preserving value, but you would have to whatch it carefully so you get your timing right. E.g. if you were in distress today and had to liquidate a NUMISMATIC gold coin that you bought in January 1980, how much would the percentage loss be compared to the percentage loss on the BULLION coin??? Quite large, would you not agree??? I.o.w NUMISMATIC gold coins are only suitable for the small part of your portfolio that you would likely never have to liquidate in distress (if you have that kind of money)!!! For ME personally the BULLION coins are more suitable.
