Loco, when you are bargaining with a group like the Tea party you play hardball even to the point of letting the organization crash if the party is playing show down poker!

Loco, this is how I would deal with you if what you say is your true belief. As I stated, the pain of not coming to an agreement must be perceived as greater not to settle than to come to an agreement.

After a period of time the parties finally come to the position that the pain inflected on both side is not worth the price to be paid. Normally, the parties after sufficient pain the parties evolve from the conflict position where the parties begin to use a bargaining process more like problem-solving win win approach rather than a win lose position.

It is said that it takes pain to drive the parties to come to an agreement. Kenneth can speak to this human aspect as it relates to conflict on a personal legal matters between lawyers with their clients. It appears to be true in International relations between countries as well.
