In a free country, we don't ban things.

It is just not enough to be free. We also need to be moralistic and civilized. Remember the famous saying where it says something like:

And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? (Mathew 16:26)

Looking at it another way: Why do we ban marijuana when we know it has medicinal effects? why do some folks want to ban gay marriage (oppose partner benefits) even to this day. So please don't lecture me on what freedom is. Ii grew up in a country where we fought for it and did so because we considered it as a moral right and when finally free, the leaders went beyond the concept of freedom and accepted a moral emblem for the country that say "Truth shall prevail", not a bird of prey such as the Eagle but instead a three headed figure to symbolized the belief in the three functions of God, namely Generator, Operator and Destroyer
