This is a much better comparison.

I could leave it at that but if you are going to make the comparison between public socialized education and public socialized medicine, I feel the need to add schools are failing students who by all accounts should be succeeding throughout the country.

1. Spanish and African American students across the country have nearly 40% drop out rates.
2. Two out of three students in school by the eighth grade can't read proficiently and will never catch up.
3. Students who graduate are not prepared to compete in the 21st century adult environment.

1b. Do we want to see hospitals that fail to adequately serve patients?
2b. Do we want to see a high percent of patients who can't get medical services that meet their needs?
3b. Do we want to see people leaving the service delivery systems without having reached a satisfactory state of well being?
