Why does the House have a majority of Republicans, despite Democratic candidates getting more than a million more votes that Republican ones?
I don't know where you're getting this statistic, but if true I don't think that concludes anything.

Maybe the Dem winners won by huge margins while the GOP winners won by smaller margins.

How does this relate in any way to gerrymandering?
