on second thought, failing the tee-ing up of hong kong dollars as the global reserve currency, am guessing revaluing some mix of metals and providing such metal bit coins would do just as well ... nothing dramatic, say platinum @ 30K USD gold @ 15K USD silver @ 300 USD ought to do the trick and be enough to metallize all trade flows and debt pools, as well as provide for walking around spare change alternatively ... platinum @ 1 trillion USD gold @ 3K USD silver @ 300 USD so that pension plans could also be metallized
