I think that people who worked for 40 years paying into SS and then become disabled deserve to receive SSD and Medicare. That's the deal the government has made with the worker all his working life. There are a lot of abuses but that is not one of them. What makes me sick is that an 18 year old from Kentucky ha sa couple kids and they are classified as developmentally delayed or some other abnormality and the government for some reason thinks they are responsible for paying for them their entire lives. The mom gets a fat check for the kids, food stamps and rental assistance. And the father disappears.
