>> Maryland put out new data Friday afternoon on the 25,000 people who have so far created accounts on its marketplace.

Shit. You have to create a damned account to even look at the plans. What that means is they had 25,000 people interested in LOOKING.

The first six days in MD, 13,500 accounts were created and a GRAND TOTAL of 326 enrolled. For people who can't do arithmetic, that amounts to 2.4%. So, one might conclude that of the 25K accounts created, maybe 600-800 had signed up.

Access Health CT, Connecticut's marketplace, said earlier this week that approximately one-third of the people who have so far applied for coverage there are under 35. This would hover around the administration's goal of having 2.7 million of the 7 million estimated new enrollees be between 18 and 35.

As of Thursday, a total of 1,800 persons had signed up in CT, and half of those were Medicaids.

It is, by any reasonable measure, a total disaster.
