Great story. Like music, I think, its all about the context and time you saw it. there is a connection to YOUR time and space, without that those kids don't see anything but "noise". I was watching some old Cosby reruns when my then teenagers popped into the kitchen. No interest, UNTIL, there was a spot on monsters......

.When my kids were very young and monsters lurked under every bed, when then ran into my room i would comfort them and walk them back. walking back I had this very sad look on my face and explained in great detail that we could not afford monsters, they were WAY to expensive. I would say how sorry I was, but it must be their imagination. If we were able to afford some I would let them know and we could go get some. I have know idea why, but it worked with all three of my kids........

NOW I got that from the cosby show, as they were watching the show that monster scene came up. Talk about an attention grabber bam! they were right in it, they look at me with new found sceptisim and said HEY, Wait did you get that from Cosby? Yep....All of a sudden they started to tune into a few of the shows, laughing hysterically as they saw some of their lives passing by the screen.
