Another source you might want to check out is Jerome Draper in San Anselmo (jcdjr@drapervin.com). Formerly half of Draper and Esquin of renown, Jerry retired and got bored and then started up a little shop again. He isn't necessarily buying bin ends, but he knows everyone and gets good deals, some cellar clearance, some excess inventory, and some just because. Prices are lower than equivalent and buying a case gets one a 10% discount on any mix. Tell him Thomas Mercer-Hursh sent you. If you are in the area, he is a delight to visit. Every couple of months he does his own bin clearance at deeper discounts. He sends out a newsletter, I think once a month. For a bonus, I just got some 2012 StoneCap Syrah from a local shop on special. For a case, it was $8.99/bottle and one of the yummier Syrahs I have had up to several times the price. It doesn't compete with the best, but it is d**m good and the price is compelling.
