Scott,

My point is not about your math, it is about the odds that FIBR will ever sell any multiplexing product. There's many competitors entering in the market, many of the competitors have much more experience in fibr optic communications. DWDM is not new concept, it was nurtured in laboratory for many years and the technology is mature. Did you checked if FIBR holds any patent in this field? I very much doubt about it.

Some would argue FIBR is targeting to be used in compus setting and the competitors are currently focused in telecommunications market. Then again, FIBR emphasised that their swith product was focused at the departmental and small branch office market. The switch product sale tumbled one quarter after another. Probably because people is warry of using product from a small vendor like FIBR in branch offices to make connection with Cisco or 3com product in central office. Again people will be warry of using FIBR DWDM product for compatibility reasons, especially when standard in DWDM is not compeletely set yet.

People on this thread was making calculations with huge numbers about satellite product sales to ABCN some time ago but that never realized.
