<<anyone know why LAM research (LRCX:NASQ) is falling?>>

Asian Flu. Sector out of favor.

<< I am wondering if its a buy at 30.5. for a quick turnaround play?>>

You might as well invest your money in scratch lotto tickets at your corner gas station. Many of us are investors, not 'quick-play' traders. Here's what we know:

1. The sector will do very well between now and 2001, as pricing competition forces fabs to convert to 300 mm and 0.18 um to achieve greater mfg. economies.

2. Lam in particular will do well between now and 1999 even in the absence of revenue growth, as new mgmt applies greater financial controls and raises margins.

This doesn't seem to be what you want to know, but they are the reasons many of us own LRCX.
