Looking at the Jan's it appears that some if not all buys are closing transactions of a previous seller, since the volume is more than the open interest. Unfortunately I don't have access to what the open inteest was yesterday, so I can't tell if the Dec's are also closing transactions.
I got out of my trading position today, figuring that if something was going on it would have been ferretted out by now. Maybe a mistake, but c'est la vie!
