I do not agree with that.

We are not putting enough into public education. I believe and am sure I am right, that it is impossible to put more into public education than you will get back.

I grew up in California when we had pretty much free community colleges. MOST of my friends were saved by those community colleges and once we graduated from those colleges where we learned to learn, we went on to compete with the best and the brightest in the world. We just needed a chance.

Now add free pre school starting at 2.5 years and you will start educating most of the population.

ALL the rich and educated make sure their kids are in pre school by 2.5 years. Poor kids who don't go have a really hard time catching up and often get an inferiority complex that is not warranted. Brains are made, not born.

How many free pre schools, day cares and community colleges could we have built and funded with the five trillion little bush pissed away?

I have seen research that said for every dollar we put into pre school we get $30 to $60 back in increased productivity and lower crime.
