Fair enough. I sense banking is not something this board has been real familiar with...but I assure you that you'd have a hard time finding better value(s). I bought BNCC in May 2012 at $2.20...it was over $12 nine months later... and now sits at $14. I bought FCAL in Jan 2011 at $2...added more in early 2012 @ $3 ....it was eventually acquired later in 2012 by PACW for $8. I discovered superb value in CRPB in Oct of 2011 but unfortunately was commited other places and couldn't buy it at $9. I did however track its run from $9 ....to where it is now 2 years later at $24.75. I could rattle off at least 2 dozen more success stories..some I had the great fortune to be involved with and some I couldn't.... and every one of them had the the same blemishes you guys are hung up on now ...and worse. With banks you have to understand whats' important... and what isn't. Banks are money machines.... and certain ones are - On Sale!....some of them are selling at prices we'll never see again in our lifetimes. You can buy JAXB for .50 @ share. Its a Florida bank that just raised $55MM to bolster the balance sheet with, satisfy some regulators and now is free to go out shopping to roll up other banks. I'll bet anybody here a cheesburger & coke that will be at least a triple one year from now. Hype? no. Excited? sure..I admit it....but if you don't have a couple banks in your portfilios fellas you're missing out. Banks are the best kept value secret on Wall St.
