Thanks for all the kind responses, both public and private, and for the recommendations that you gave my message.

There's no cure for hypocrisy short of an epiphany. I seriously doubt these people are capable of that.

I have no wish to dive into a brouhaha, and so I hope now that everyone will drop it.
