Ted,
Its a website for a complicated program that is attracting a lot of users. Its not surprising there are glitches. You, of all people, should understand.
Oh, I understand all right. In this day and age, web site glitches upon launch are inexcusable.

This happened to Blizzard Entertainment when they launched Diablo III. This happened to Electronic Arts when they launched their latest Sim City. Users were pissed that they couldn't log on for the first week or month after launch.

(The launch issues helped to cement EA's reputation as the "Worst Company in America," beating out more obvious candidates like Bank of America. Google it.)

And of course, all of this anger is over something as trivial as video games. Imagine how worse it is for people who are looking for affordable health care.

This truly is inexcusable, especially for the government which has much more resources than video game developers, and especially for those whose very political careers depend on the smooth launch of this massive new government entitlement.

But then again, that's what happens when government does something. It will always come in 5X over budget and with a quality that is less than acceptable in the private sector. But since government is "too big to fail," this is all too often accepted as a necessary evil.
