My concern is that we're approaching a "perfect storm" of demand for taxpayer dollars, and that demand is simply too big to be filled. The debt service on 18T is a lot, but the unfunded liabilities for SS, MC and state/local pensions (and now Obamacare) are just going to be too much.

I don't see any way out of it other than reduced standards of living, which is what I believe will happen.
