>> You are trying to have the catholic Church(a denomination) take credit for what the Holy Spirit did.
The true Catholic Church is not a denomination. The Holy Spirit works and operates through men. Sts. Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul etc. are all men, members of the Orthodox Catholic Church, which under guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit, produced for us the books of the New Testament. Sacred Scripture is the sole property of the Holy Church of Christ. Everything that is holy and true is the property and possession of Holy Church. The Church is the pillar and ground of truth. Christ and His Church are one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. One cannot separate Christ and the Church, neither the Holy Spirit, which abides in Christ and His Church.
He cannot have God as his Father, who does not have the church for his Mother. --St. Cyprian |
