U.S. Sen. Rand Paul Thursday deflected questions about a billion-dollar spending increase for a major Ohio River construction project that was included in the Wednesday night’s federal shutdown deal and denigrated by tea party conservatives as a “ Kentucky kickback” for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Paul voted against the deal and the Olmsted Dam measure it contained that raises the spending ceiling to $2.9 billion for the contentious western Kentucky and Illinois project.

Actually it sounds like an infrastructure building-job-creating measure to me.
But If the Teapers want to rage on and on about it.... So be it.
