This thread has done just fine for damned near 20 years now (and I've been reading it for -- yikes -- 15 years). There's nothing wrong with it.


How can you say that there is nothing wrong it? How can you expect civil discourse without some rules? Look at some of the abuse that is doled out on this thread on any given day. You know, some people are getting their feelings hurt. Not everybody has the thick skin that some of the old timers on the thread have. A few rules with a fair moderator would provide an environment in which it was safe for everyone to post. It would provide a setting where everyone is equal and has an equal voice.
