Memories from another board - Feb 2011 (Pre Silver Bull):
"...The IKN Weekly recommends Metalline Mining (MMG) (MMZ.to) as a buy and sets a 12
month price target for the stock of $2.21, representing a 106% upside to Friday’s closing
price of $1.07 and a 112.5% upside to our ‘Stocks to Follow’ opening price of $1.04 from last
week. We are adding MMG to our ‘Recommends’ sub-section of the ‘Stocks to Follow’ list. To
be quite honest it’s tempting to make this stock a Top Pick, but this temptation is tempered by
the risks still in this investment. It should be remembered that until the PEA and resource
update is published we are still guessing somewhat about the nature and size of the shallow
silver resource, its metallurgy parameters, potential recovery rates and tonnage costs of
production. Also, although we’re good about interim CEO Greg Hahn’s geological credentials,
something of much greater importance than financial nous at this stage of MMG’s development,
his performance at Constellation Copper left much to be desired from a CEO and there is a
question mark over his leadership capabilities. So for the moment and until the PEA is released
the stock will sit one rung below top pick.
This stock has been largely ignored by a market so far, but your author firmly believes this is
about the change and the new, silver-centric MMG will cause heads to turn in the near future.
We buy.
