If you are having a heart attack or something else similar, you sure as heck don't want to stop and wait for a 3rd degree of questions, and a checkbook before you have had any attention...Life and death issues sometimes are dependent on a time factor. And, usually, IF you have insurance, you know ahead of time if you will have to pay a co pay to the insurance plan....they will receive the bill, and if it is part of the contract you have with the insurance co, you will have to pay them or the hospital the co-pay.... The problem really is for people with NO insurance, not even Medicaid....That's what Obama's plan was supposed to fix....but there are so many holes in it, how would anyone know how to even get ahold of people without insurance .....
