Seventeen Trillion Dollars. Our children are going to pay it.

What nonsense! They won't pay it. It will be inflated away. All they will notice is that they are making more money and things have got more expensive. When the Federal Reserve was formed in 1918, the dollar was worth 100 cents. That same dollar today is worth 6 cents. It's dropped 94 cents in value since then. Have we run in circles, screaming and shouting, about this inflation?

Seems to me that paying with a big wad of cash or with the reduced buying power of that cash comes to the same thing. Just like I am paying, right now, for bank and government indiscretions through an artificially low interest rate scheme. Keeping the method of payment obscure may lessen complaint but it doesn't stop the payment. Seems to me.
