The last time it was tried was by George W. Bush and Paulsen, then Obama.
Not "WAS tried," but "IS BEING tried right now."

It's not over yet. The printing press is still running. There is no exit strategy, as evidenced by how spooked the markets get when someone even hints about the off switch.
