The state of Tennessee has death panels already. A friend of mine's cousin has brain cancer but can't get TennCare until it has progressed to stage 3, too late to try and save her. The state intends only to provide comfort care. That compliments of Gov. Bredesen, a democrat, who when he was governor purged the TennCare rolls of many including many who were fighting cancer, sealing there fate. And the rules to qualify were rewritten.
