We are not in Mayberry anymore, you have to take all necessary measures to protect yourself legally.

For instance,I was driving down Highway 101 in Solana Beach one day. A car pulled up along side of me and shadowed me for about 30 seconds. Then the car suddenly sped up, veered in front of me and slammed on their brakes causing me to crash into them. They were "unlicensed, uninsured, and undocumented". There was some damage to both cars, not excessive, but non-the-less. The driver I ran into "required an ambulance" to be taken to the hospital.

Well, you can guess the outcome. Huge law suit claiming life long disability, etc.

Just so happens that all of our cars have been equipped with front and rear "dash cams". The dash cam clearly showed that the driver intentionally veered in front of me, and the brake lights had been disabled inside the car. The installation of the "Dash Cams" was suggested by my sister, who is a partner at a law firm here in San Diego.

Well, wasn't too long before the entire legal issue was dropped. I asked my lawyer what happened to the "undocumented" person who perpetrated the accident. They said... "Nothing".. Not even a ticket for driving without a license. The guy walked away to scam someone else, leaving the hospital with unpaid bills I am sure. My insurance gladly paid to fix my car under "uninsured motorist coverage"
