The long term value of ORCL is changed. Just look at AAPL, SGI...etc, you will see what is
happening to ORCL. If I were you I will not jump into this sinking boat and get trapped !!!
ORCL used to be the biggest player of UNIX based software products, and then switch to a mix of UNIX / NT. As more and more WINTEL based workstation sold to the market, we
see ORCL 's UNIX market being degraded, while for the NT based market ORCL is head to head with MSFT, and you know who will win. As NT getting more and more popular, we will see more and more troubles for ORCL and SUNW. ORCL used to sell their database software products to corps in Asia, and to improve productivity as well as competition, the Asian companies will not reduce their budgets for computers and softwares, but increase
even with the recent currency crisis. It is easy for ORCL to blame the currency crisis in Asia
for its poor performance, but the big boys do not look at it that way. It is a structure problem , and probably can never be fixed. So, big ones dump their ORCL stocks in big time
while small investor jump in for short term profit and get trapped big time.
