There has been little or no warming over the past 15 years only if you cherry pick your data. Yes, air temperature s in the middle latitudes have changed less than expected. But water temperatures have increased more than expected, especially in the Arctic. The Arctic icepack has thinned significantly. Granted, this year the extent of the ice coverage was much larger than in 2012 during the summer melt, but most of the ice was even thinner and the overall volume was less than last year.
