No, it actually didn't. It cut poverty in half before being deliberately dismantled starting around 1970. And during the same time that the War on Poverty's measures were being dismantled, measures were also taken to enrich the wealthy. And guess which party is most responsible for that? Hint: They held the White House from 1968 (which is pretty much where the two-decade decrease stopped) until 1992, for all but four years.

You really didn't see it. It shows Ted Cruz's father and pastor at an inappropriately political megachurch-type event specifically promoting wealth redistribution to Christians by Christian "kings" taking "dominion" over the "marketplace", and the pastor essentially saying that's why God made Ted Cruz a Senator. I shit you not.
