All sorts of examples can be thought up. You can even create new real ones if you want to make the effort. But none of your examples amount to evidence that the concept you are using them to illustrate is relevant to general economic growth.

yea "cause" is an interesting word isn't it?

A pretty good one in this case. The company knew people shouldn't be exposed to the chemicals, so it tried to prevent this from happening. Government (local government in this case), wasn't having any of that.
