KJ,

"The problem is they would not be able to find a large population of Sequent NUMA-Q servers and are already connected to Brocade switches and are willing to do the test to benefit Ancor."

Maybe you have a good point. I have no idea how exactly these things work. Wouldn't it be possible though to lease a NUMA from Sequent and then turn it over to an independent testing lab which would then put the server through various standard performance tests with each switch? With Ancor's latency figure of 500ms so much less than Brocades 2000ms I would think that, under heavy load, the Ancor switch based NUMA would be a lot faster. Heck, maybe Sequent will let them borrow a machine just to do the test. Afterall, given Ancor's generosity in taking back all of those class one optimized switches I think that this is the least that Sequent could do for Ancor. Also, I fail to see how this could hurt Sequent in any way, especially if the Ancor switch proved to be faster for the same $$$.

Regards...Craig
