I agree with you completely. The cops were way out of line on this. This type of thing happens almost as often as mass murders, and it's unacceptable.
I don't see this as a 2nd amendment issue.

This is a far more basic philosophical issue than that. We are seeing across the board with our public servants. With many in law enforcement there is an attitude of "us vs them", without distinguishing criminals from people in general. They aren't here so much to prevent crime, they are here to keep us in control. They have forgotten who they work for.
