Testing of Nomai disks; some details

Translation from c't Germany (11/28/97)

Nomai claims that Iomega is using unfair test conditions: in a test commissioned by Iomega in the U.S., the disks have been tested by the testing institute "CETR" for 15 days at a temperature of 58 degrees Celsius and a humidity of 10%, followed by a 24-hour period of continued load / unload of the heads. (Nomai claims:) These conditions are outside the specifications of the external ZIP drive and are, thus, unrealistic. Furthermore, Iomega has intentionally modified its notebook Zip drives, released at Comdex, so that they reject Nomai cartridges.

Noma‹ wirft Iomega dagegen unfaire Testbedingungen vor: In einem von Iomega in Auftrag gegebenen Test in den USA seien die Medien vom Prfinstitut "CETR"
