To buy NOK now one has to be:

- positive on NSN's future. Believe that NSN will be top dog and profitable in coming years. It is hard to believe this when most companies in the field are not doing well and the Chinese competition continues.

- positive about their capital allocation skills for the dough they received. Honestly, I don't know most of the people left at Nokia top, but none of them strike me as great capital allocators. IMHO it would almost be the best if they distributed the cash in extraordinary divvie. But they most likely won't. They'll probably plow it into the HERE and related R&D (and NSN?). I am doubtful that this will produce great results.

So personally, I am not interested in playing this stock.

You might be right though that this is kind of "spinoff" situation and spinoffs usually do well after the initial weakness of nobody wanting to own them. :)
