That is exactly the case I'm in and its what I was posting about. However, there is an additional wrinkle. The policies are not in fact illegal under ACA. If you had one prior to 2010 you are grandfathered. With one major problem. ACA allowed the insurance co. to keep the grandfathered plans, but didn't require them to. It was their discretion. So my insurance co seems to have chosen to terminate them all. Why not, it was in their interest to do so.

So ACA became an opportunity to terminate a lot of policies under the guise of "the government made us do it", when in fact that is not the case. But the government did ALLOW them to do so, which IMHO is a bit criminal anyway. TWT how this plays out, but I suspect it is going to be a major problem, because it is tied to the "You can keep your policy" statement made by Obama. That will be his "Mission Accomplished" albatross before this is all over.
