COMPUTER SALES UP.....................................

The big problem with this talk, is the fact that cutting prices to get computer sales up, will now start to cut into the profit margins.
The two main COMPUSA's in the NY area have indicated that sales are way down from last year at this time(especially with the CPQ units). That would explain the reason for the early (before Christmas by 3 weeks) price cutting by DELL last week. If sales were doing good? Why cut the prices? Answer: Machines are not moving and the built up inventory will be carried into Jan.
