The sources of examples in the WSJ are of actual people whose rates are going up 100% or more because the newer polices have services (required by AFCA) that they opted out of or did not buy when they choose their coverage. What the AFCA is designed to do is eliminate choices about coverage (although they'll be choices about rates and deductibles) by restricting what insurers can offer individuals in covered services.

That is why I conclude the young healthy affluent consumer is going to take a pass on this. And the middle class is going to feel the President misled them about this aspect of the AFCA.
